The Year Things Changed
This year, things were different. Jessie and I did not meet up, instead of letting the day pass by, I chose to take photos of myself. The last one to be apart of the tradition from the beginning. I don't know what next year will be like. Perhaps this is the end of this thing I started. I want to thank Jessie for her contribution over the years, along with everyone else who took part in this tradition. What started as a coincidence turned into a way for me to make sure once a year I could see a friend. It was fun while it lasted, and perhaps next year will be something new. Until then,
Thank you

This year was a unique year. We didn't have anything particularly fall related to shoot this year. I was fearing that there wasn't much left to do as far as fall photos. But jessie had made a specific request. She wanted photos with her cat Fudge. So this year, we used the Halloween aesthetic for our prompt, and went with a witch. Fudge is a black cat, it seemed applicable. However, we had a very late morning this day, and she had work later, which means our shoot with fudge was not to be. Luckily we did have enough time to go get some photos of this very special day. This was also the first year Jessie has shot on this day alone
This Photo is a homage to the first year when we did the October 20th Tradition. Where the stand out photo was of Jessie laying on the ground with leaves in her hair covering her face. The first year was a huge inspiration for many of the following shoots, for example, Fall Girl was designed by what we tried in the first year. This was a nice way to change up the style of shoot while keeping the same general vibe of the original concepts

Photoshop is not my strong point, but for this year, i really wanted to try something new. So various images from this shoot are amplified with the use of photoshop

2021
The Picnic year. We didn't really have an idea for what we were going to do for this year. as the month was closing in, we finally decided on a picnic. Very little set up, more fun and playful, and everyone was sure to eat lunch that day.
2020
This was the COVID year. A hard time for everyone. We didn't know if we were going to shoot this year at all. but luckily for us jessie was wanting some couple photos with her at the time boyfriend. Though these photos mean a lot to me as far as tradition goes, Jessie prefers to avoid them, thus this is the only place these images (unedited) still remain to my knowledge.
2019
Compared to the previous years, this year was planned for this day. Taking what i had learned from the previous years of editing, i knew i wanted to ground my editing to more real tones. Though i still struggled at this time. I got some of my favourite photos of jess i have ever taken. This was also the year the tradition almost died, as jess got sick the night before, and was luckily feeling better by the time we shot. Thanks to Jamling Sherpa, we have a video of this day, making it extra special.
2018
This year was based on the previous years shoot. When jessie has started playing with the leaves and the umbrella i knew i wanted to shoot like that again. Shortly after the 2017 shoot i got to planning this series. Though the concept art is long gone, we did manage to get together a group of people to do this. Evidently the only day everyone was free was October 20th. Making this the first year i knew i was going to be doing this for a long time.
2017
The year that started it all. It wasn't our intention for this to become what it is. In fact, it was the next year that solidified it. This year will always hold a special place in my heart, as it allows me to keep shooting with the people that matter to me most.
